Brazing of cookware

Aufhauser brazing filler metal is used for joining copper disks to the bases of saucepans. It can be applied as a flux coated powder or powder / flux blend which is sprinkled onto the copper disk prior to assembly and heating. Lack of water or other solvents means that a good level of alloy cover is achieved.

Brazing of spectacle / glasses frames

Specialised silver brazing filler metals supplied as very fine wires are useful for this type of delicate application.

Brazing of medical components

Medical devices and components are often manufactured from stainless steel. A number of filler metal types are suitable for joining stainless steels.
